Add Felix Hernandez to the growing list of players who have opted out of the season. There definitely seems to be a bit of a pattern forming, with veteran guys who have already made substantial money in the big leagues not willing to risk playing during a pandemic. On top of that many of these guys were either on minor league or low base deals, so there is very little financial incentive for them to play anyway.

Apparently he talked to Freddie Freeman on the phone and was struck by how bad he sounded, which factored into his decision. Biiiig yikes for the MLB - I still don’t think we’ll have a “full” season, but we’ll see. |

I bought the holiday 4-pack of tickets last winter, which was $45 for four vouchers to any game. Just got an email that says that they are just turning that into $45 of credit to one game next year.
Kinda blows that they are just turning four tickets into one but I guess I will splurge and get $45 off an awesome seat in 2021 so I am an absolute sucker.

They're trying to find a spot for him on the lineup, so not at all weird. Especially with Moncada and Cuthbert being out, there's not too many guys you can slot in at 3b at the moment. Hopefully he does well enough that they consider him for a roster spot.

Like all they have is 1B/C/DH on this roster and I'd feel a helluva lot more comfortable putting him at 3B instead of an OF position so we can at least see his bat at the ML level.
