I hope to god it works out, but this is depressing. So many great candidates on the market and the only people they interviewed were Willie Harris and LaRussa.

My favorites were Bochy or Espada. The more I thought about hiring Hinch or Cora the less I liked the idea.
But hey, we're stuck with LaRussa, so meh.

Morton would be such an excellent fit for the Sox though. Short deal to stabilize the rotation while the young guys battle it out for the 4th and 5th spots. |

Just a remarkably stupid time to be a white sox fan. Even with that dumb hire the roster and young core is still incredibly exciting. They still have plenty of payroll flexibility so I expect they will still be buyers during this off-season. This is a great time to be a White Sox fan. |
