Also, I hope Robert gets it but if it's Lewis I won't be surprised.

Bieber should have been a finalist, at the very least. I think Abreu will win.

Man Eloy really had a nice season. It kind of went over my head because he was overshadowed by other guys and because I kept getting distracted by him getting caught in nets game after game.

That's more than I thought he'd get since he was absolutely atrocious after he altered his delivery.

Bought this last night after listening to Effectively Wild. Been fascinated by him since I was a kid:

“A White Sox spokesman said the organization was aware of the incident” Not embarrassing Who ever tried to argue this hiring isn't embarrassing? it shouldn't be hard to find posts from a couple weeks ago. it was the meaningless semantics that the hiring was embarrassing but the white sox aren't an embarrassment for doing it. which, even if one believed it then, is surely no long true.

God that conversation was exhausting. The difference between the move being embarrassing and franchise being an embarrassment. The move is/has always been clearly embarrassing - I think palehose took offense to the latter.
Anyway the Sox are doing the very Sox move of putting this in the hands of LaRussa rather than outright firing him. I'd hope to god if he's found guilty they'll move on - they should move on today, but that won't happen. There's a ton of good candidates still out there to conduct an actual interview process.

You're right, it isn't hard to go back and find posts from a couple weeks ago. No one ever made that argument, but your post surely insinuates someone did. It's also not "meaningless semantics". I wasn't the only one who tried to explain the difference between the hiring being embarrassing, and the franchise being an embarrassment ( teekoh pointed this out as well). Do you really not understand the difference in the meaning of these two statements?

Really creative way to fuck up their window of contention.

So that hiring is the embodiment and reflection of the entire organization and nothing else? That's a pretty embarrassing argument to try and stand behind.
