Two possible scenarios - -MLB suspends him for a chunk of games - I'd be surprised if it were a year, but who the hell knows? Is their precedent for someone in MLB getting two DUIs? In that case I could see Jerry firing him or LaRussa stepping down. -Jerry/LaRussa were not anticipating the amount of blowback they've received and arrange for a resignation. Jerry won't fire him. No matter how big of a d-bag LaRussa is, I don't think it helps his cause to manage again with this big of a distraction looming over the team, particularly when it will clearly impact free agency. Or doomsday scenario that I don't want to contemplate is nothing happens despite LaRussa going to jail and the Sox are in disarray all year. |

It probably will make zero difference, but I emailed Scott Seifert and Brooks Boyer and contacted several brands that have promotional ties with the team and laid out my concerns with the team maintaining any connection to Tony LaRussa. Hopefully enough fans get pissed enough and do the same.

Bieber and Bauer are the Cy Young winners as expected. Darvish finished 2nd in the NL and Kuechel finished 5th and Giolito 7th in the AL.

Hopefully enough fans get pissed enough and do the same. lol Scott Seifert actually responded to my email and this sure doesn't sound like a franchise that's going to move on from a bad decision. They still have not hired a coaching staff and BROTHER LaRussa still hasn't contacted any of the players on the team - it would be so easy to cut ties! |

No surprise with Bieber. Bauer's deserved and tough to argue with but as a Cubs fan I of course have some arguments for it. Mainly that anyone who watched Yu pitch since he got here can't believe he had the season he had.

Someone from The Score brought up how awful it is that Abreu might be the first person forced to address this if he wins the MVP.
