Usually held in January and February to stimulate business during Chicago’s slowest dining weeks of the year, the pandemic-era version of Chicago Restaurant Week will be March 19 to April 4, Choose Chicago said in a news release Wednesday.

He probably can’t because private equity actually makes things worse!

Need some advice from my chicago peeps. Friends are getting married here August 14th, rescheduled from last summer. The couple live in Indianapolis, they thought my friends job would be bringing them here but that got changed at the last minute. They stuck with their wedding plans for here since they already paid vendors and venue a lot of money. I didn't realize this was a big thing, but apparently the last two weddings they've gone to and been part of the wedding party the bridal party and groomsmen have gotten together to do some activity and drink and hang out (separate from the rehearsal dinner). They were asking me for ideas since I live here, but I don't really do much besides concerts and small bars close to me lol, I definitely don't explore the city as much as I could/should. A couple of ideas I bounced off them were whirleyball, going out to place bets on turtle races (haven't been but my girlfriend and friends that have loved it), and just a couple of bars if anyone was still game to hang out. What are some activities that a group in the late 20's would enjoy? Whirleyball is closed right now but I figured they'd be open by August. None of us are anti-vax, we'll all be jabbed by then.

I'll run it by them, think they might've done it in Indy

Since it’ll be nicer in August, maybe an architecture/booze cruise?

similarly, a water taxi from downtown to chinatown then dining out there is a good time.

That'd be a good one too but the couple are very much anti sports, pretty sure the rest of the wedding party would be down though lol
