at least you'll be driving to work soon and won't have to ever think of that!
one of the (few) perks.

not having to pay west loop prices for parking (or at all, for that matter,) not paying for cta, having my car outta the street sweeping areas, and probably not needing an ipass are all good things at least.
obv paying for gas sucks now but that's why god gave us honda civics.

Really enjoying (at least from my passenger seat) my boyfriend's new 2016 Honda Fit.
Also, he managed to get USD3,500 for his 210km 2017 Toyota Yaris, which is definitely more than what had had expected

I drive a Yaris.
I auditioned as a keyboard player for a band this weekend. I got an email today saying I didn't get it, they were going with someone more experienced. I told them I had never been in a band before.

I am ready to be done being a student. My semester just started and I'm so stressed it feels like someone is sitting on my chest and telling me to row a boat. I genuinely have not been stretched this thin for a semester at any other point during my life as a student, but I suppose it's fitting it happens during my second to last one.

The dog across the hall from me barks constantly. Whenever I or they open the door, it goes off, but I can also just hear it barking in their apartment (and I can never hear *anything* in other people's apartments when they have the doors closed). The person also gets home from work around midnight every night which means I've been woken up by the thing. It's been increasingly bad for months and at this point they don't seem to even try to quiet it down.
Given the circumstances of me having this apartment (through the family real estate business) I'm maybe not really in a position to complain to my uncle about it. I'm not paying anything but my bills, after all. But it's starting to make me go a little crazy so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. To make things worse, there's a general "no pet" policy in the building. Some of the older tenants have been allowed pets, but I'm not even sure they know about this one.
Ugh. I just want it to stop barking -.-

Your family owning the place sounds like you DO have a reason to complain about it tbh

So I went back to Michigan Thursday night and got back last night and my apartment smelled AWFUL. I realized I hadn't taken the trash out before I left but even after the smell persisted. I thought I'd give it a day and turn on my fans and maybe it'd go away. I came back to today and it just hit me right away. At first I thought maybe it was my washing machine since I left clothes in there while I was gone and the lid open buuuuut I didn't turn it on so the clothes were dry. Now I'm paranoid I have mold. Going to wait around until 8 tomorrow and bring someone from the front desk in. My place is clean, there's no rotting food, so idk. It's either mold or somehow a rodent got in (live on the ground floor) and is dead under my washing machine because I've checked everywhere else.

To add it doesn't smell like trash and we had a huge storm Thursday night with flooding and tornado warnings. My apartment wasn't flooded but being on the ground floor maybe beneath it?

did you do anything besides turn the fans on? if garbage smell sat in your apartment for a week you're gonna need some fresh air

Your family owning the place sounds like you DO have a reason to complain about it tbh Conversely, I feel like I'm being done a big favor by being given this apartment and so I don't really have a right to say anything. But honestly I will at this point. Thing has been going all night

Being on the ground floor I don't have any windows, just a door that leads to the street but I haven't really been home long enough to prop that open for a significant period of time.

...you don't have any windows? Ground floor loft so the wall against the street is almost like a store front with blinds I constantly have down. So I have windows/giant glass panes but can't open them.

I'm confused. Did neader spill a beer and then think his apartment was flooding?

Denver has been alternating hazy/smoky days since the weekend on account of the wildfires out west depending which way the winds are blowing. Today is supposed to be bad, apparently. The skyline and mountains weren't visible at all on Monday, and today is going to be worse.
