The Jason Aldean thing is depressing trash that I've been trying really hard not to engage with. Just googled the Miranda Lambert thing and lmaoooo good for her. I hate that shit during concerts. |

Hadn’t heard about the Miranda Lambert thing but I agree with her. Those ding-dongs appeared to be in the “VIP Table Package” seats ($400 each before fees), so I’m sure they felt entitled to behave however they want at the show. They said they were only posing for 30 seconds max. That’s long enough to be a complete fucking distraction not just to the performer, but to all the people behind and to the sides who are trying to enjoy the performance.

Jason Aldeen has been Bad for many years, but I truly did not know he was Problematic until this thing. From now on when referencing musical acts from Macon, Georgia let us speak of The Reddings, The Allman Brothers, REM, Torres, Little Richard, and Jeezy.

Someone made a fraudulent charge on my credit card to Wayfair. Had to call my cc company and report it, and they cancelled the card.
This is the first time this has ever happened to me. I guess I'm glad it wasn't worse.

Something similar happened to me, someone somehow got my corporate credit card number and used it at some restaurant or bodega type place somewhere in Mexico in March. Prior to that, I hadn't used the card since Feb 2020, so I'm impressed that they somehow got the number. |

I guess I'm glad it wasn't worse. my discover card has had the number stolen somehow at least once a year for the past decade. i just always expect it at some point now. they always take care of the fraud charges and overnight me a card with new account #. i've learned not to tie any recurring charges to it so it's not a big deal at this point when it happens. |

i sold about 140 records at dusty groove and reckless last week. i didn't expect great returns, but the chaos on discogs right now pushed me away from selling even heavy hitters there. i was relatively ok with what dusty groove gave me. i was less pleased at reckless. and after looking at the credit slip, they applied it incorrectly too.
i was also surprised by what reckless did and didn't take. a sealed copy of the first gentleman jesse album didn't make their cut. but a "we are the world" 12" did? i don't get that at all. and it's been interesting to see what they're selling some of those records for. everything is showing up as near mint of VG+ on their site so far, but some items are still well below discogs' averages. i figured they'd be a little above those averages.

in a HUGE group work chat spanning at least three countries, a woman said she went to an amazing show last night and asked if everyone wanted to see pics. many enthusiastically said yes. the show: foreigner and loverboy.

i bet a lot of those people were in their 50s/60s? loverboy were huge in the early 80s and one of the few groups from that era who still have most of their original members (foreigner is just a tribute band at this point).
