Also, no-hitters should only be counted when it’s an individual achievement. Four guys combining to do it is coincidental bullshit.

Fwiw I think Cooperstown / official stats only counts a no-hitter as an individual achievement. Saw some people on Twitter trying to argue that a combined no-hitter is actually more impressive? That's completely alogical to me. |

One guy doing it and working his way through a lineup that has seen his pitches and has the opportunity to make adjustments is way more impressive - especially when they're tiring after 100 or so pitches. Not sure how anyone could argue otherwise.

IMO, no-hitters are ok, but in the end the game is just too boring. Especially if it's my team that's being no-hit.

As much as I don't like him and will never forgive him for killing Kerry Wood and Mark Prior, Dusty was an absolute delight at the end of that game. I hope he isn't too hungover today.

He must have really hated being on this team. If he came back he would have been a platoon player, maybe he thought he could play every day elsewhere? Or maybe he wanted to play closer to where he lives? Last year was pretty miserable, so yeah maybe he just wanted to move on. |
