im interested to see how "wrong" i am about all of this but the 9 guys on the field should be the 9 guys batting. most pitchers are awful batters, but not all of them are, and leveling the field to "improve the game" neglects the higher talent of the pitchers who CAN hit in favor of a more entertaining game.
same deal with traveling in any basketball game, its apparently more important that the game look cool than the players follow the rules

Opening weekend Rockies tickets are already being offered for $8, so that's a great sign for me getting cheap tickets all season. It's a series against the Dodgers, too.

He's a hall of famer if he retired today, so I wouldn't doubt his ability to turn it around now that he's a closer again. He clearly wasn't super happy about being a set-up guy.

Starting pitching depth was questionable even before the Lynn injury. Hahn spent all that money on the bullpen that could have been better allocated towards a starter. Shit, the Reds literally gave Wade Miley away.

The last Cubs opening day I went to was when they put the pennants up in right center field. It was rainy and shitty but so incredibly worth it.
This game appears to also be rainy and shitty but maybe not all that worth it. My Mom has a non-Covid illness so idk if she'll be joining me which kinda sucks tbh
