I've only been to 2 Cubs games and they won both of them. It was a good game today.
BTW, we were impressed with attendance and how the fans seem to adore Willson Contreras.

Yankees got Montas, they're going to be really tough to beat in October. It feels like the White Sox will do very little or possibly nothing, and I'm okay with that. Even if they make the playoffs I can't see them beating Houston or New York.

Anything can happen once they get to the playoffs - I'd love for them to at least try to fix one of the more glaring weaknesses (left-handed outfield bat or a second baseman) rather than just stand pat. Hahn had such a shitty offseason.

Seby has cratered after a hot start - he's still striking out 30% of the time, too. The Diekman deal is dumb and I could see this being the only move the Sox make. They need left-handed bats more than another reliever who has control problems.
The Sox have $40 million or so committed to what has turned into a pretty mediocre bullpen - just terrible roster construction around what should be a terrific core of players.

I guess if you’re gonna trade the 3rd best player in baseball this seems like an alright haul for him. At least Abrams and Gore are like the top prospects at their respective positions. And Soto isn’t on the cardinals |
