I saw Matt and Kim back between my junior and senior year of high school. By chance I had hardly ate that day and was really into the show. Next thing I know I started seeing lights and my vision was blurry so I made a quick exit. Within 5 seconds of turning around and navigating throughout the crowd I went totally blind and some guy said "Dude...are you all right?" Somehow made it to the bar barely able to see and ordered a water. Put my head down on the bar and got an earful, got my water, when to the back and sat down and I could see again! Bout the closest I ever got not counting Macca at Lolla 15 which idek how close I got. Just heard a security guard pretended to look the other way.

Finally beat Dark Souls. Never used a spell the whole game. Pretty much only used the halberd don't know why anyone would use anything else. Anyway fuck this game, never again and I'm not going through the series.

I have one. Before or after cooking? before. i just got one for christmas and haven't used it yet because i was waiting for smoke season, but idk why. if you brush the chicken with oil before baking does it help the dryness of the heat, or do you need the hot sauce as a binder? trying to think of a binding alternative to not make a chicken breast taste like pure franks red hot. Hot sauce is essentially a binder. Oil might help just concerned that one it's shredded will it matter? I'll tell you in a few hours! Inject after or before brining? |

My favorite hot chicken place in Nashville sells seasoning. I've just been putting hot sauce and that on the chicken and shake it up in a mixing bowl. Only do the hot sauce because without lard/oil the seasoning alone just makes it cough city. I've been making (hot) chicken quesadillas. Brine a breast for like 30, put in the oven 425 for 20, cut it up and bam. Today, on a whim, I decided I would pull the chicken instead of cutting it up and holy shit it made it insanely better. Much more tender. Did not expect that and am still kinda blown away. I have added goat cheese into the mix to critical acclaim. |

Finished The Tudors on Sunday, first time through. I really enjoyed it. The rise and fall of Anne Boleyn was definitely the most interesting, in part because Natalie Dormer's performance is the best of the whole series, along with whoever played Cromwell. Season 4 kind of dragged but still good. I now find myself only watching media that relates to this period so that's fun.

Had a dream where I was back in high school. I had to do a project with a partner on the history of trains. I don't remember who my partner was, but we came up with the great idea of explaining the history of trains by having a mock interview between a journalist and George Washington. We would act it out. In my dream head George Washington somehow knew everything about trains and would be a great character. The interviewer can just ask questions and George's answers would give us the history of trains. Then before we were up I had the brilliant idea that instead of a regular journalist, whoever is acting as the journalist should instead act as Borat giving the interview. It would both still work with the project and hopefully illicit laughs. I remember saying to my partner that it was a good idea because we can then respond to George's responses with a "wowie wowie" or "Very nice!" Woke up before we could do the two man act of Borat interviewing George Washington about the history of trains.

Burger and fries at Stop Along are exactly like In-N-Outs which I am all about. Will definitely be my go to casual burger joint moving forward. If you looking for an In-N-Out style smash burger check out Red Hot Ranch. Half the price of Stop Along too. I've had Red Hot Ranch many times living about three blocks away but have always been in a state of mind where I feel like I can't fairly judge them. |

Went outside intending to go to Walgreens a few blocks away to pick up a prescription but it was so nice I decided to walk down to Cafe Lula and have breakfast in the park. Burrito last time was amazing but saw they had a fried mortadella and soft scramble sandwich with onion jam and spicy aioli. Was also amazing, this place can't miss and Cafe Lula in the park with a coffee might be a weekly Saturday/Sunday thing for me moving forward weather permitting.

as much as i love Ghosteen, i feel like people still need more time with it. cool to see him still making more music but hopefully it's a bit of a left turn -- allegedly Push the Sky Away, Skeleton Tree, and Ghosteen were a part of a trilogy, so that might be the case. lol the only Nick Cave albums I've listened to let's see if I actually like him or not |
