Cholmondeley Castle is a country house in the civil parish of Cholmondeley, Cheshire, England. Together with its adjacent formal gardens, it is surrounded by parkland. The site of the house has been a seat of the Cholmondeley family since the 12th century. This family has owned a castle in England for almost 1000 years. Those greedy mother fuckers.

Does anyone remember the show Wanderlust? It was only six episodes but was a travel mockumentary and absolutely hilarious. I remember watching reruns when I was 13 back in like 2006 and I think even then it had been off the air for a while. I tried looking for it a while back and was able to find one episode online but that was it. Seemed way ahead of it's time in hindsight.

I can't believe no one else is absolutely amazed it took a 9 year old six hours to open a can of beans. What a moron. She would've died during the Great Depression.

I finished The Little Drummer Girl last night. Stars Michael Shannon, Florence Pugh, Alex Skarsgard (and is directed by Park Chan-Wook. Once you get past the dumb premise (Israeli government recruiting a British actress as a spy to infiltrate Palestinian forces) it's good. Pugh and Shannon are phenomenal on it just like everything else they're in. I reend it for them alone. Only six episodes so easy to knock out but I felt like they could've done even more.

Maybe humble brag but I am like on top of my shit lately so I didn't. It's usually my favorite holiday but lately I've been eating better, working out more, and reading every weeknight. Those things alone knock out the usual save more/lose weight resolutions.
One of my big resolutions last year was get more into politics and attend at least five political events which I think I accomplished since I went from "Why is Pete Buttigeig bad?" at the beginning of the year to shaking Bernie's hand like two months later.

The hardest part about Dark Souls is figuring out where to go. This whole game feels like a maze.

I actually used that Monday to order Charlie Chaplin's Autobiography, Devil in the White City, and People's History of Chicago from Open Books. Though I don't think delivery was an option, still need to go pick them up, but not in this weather if I can help it.

Soul was phenomenal. Loved it. As I was watching I actually thought to myself wow 22, I've never seen an animation character look and sound so much like the actor and was 100% convinced it was Miley Cyrus. Still think 22 looks and sounds like her more than Tina Fey *shrug*

he recommended mon ami gabi which looks great so not too disappointed. I walk by it pretty often because it's a few blocks north of where I live. I'm pretty sure the patio has been looking rough because of construction, but maybe the construction is just blocking the patio. it was good. I'm sure there's better French food in the city at a similar price point but still decent. Got the steak with bernaise.

Finally got around to Twin Peaks S3. Once I remembered to turn off my brain and not spend all my time trying to figure out the plot I enjoyed it much more.

Have you reached out to your landlord? Yup and her only directive was “ill pay for whatever people you have out”. She’s 96 so that makes sense Ok that's awesome. I would just call another electrician and stress that this is an issue that needs to be fixed? I mean like what else can you do. If your landlord is paying for everything then what do you have to lose?

My friend got me the Once Upon a Time in Shaolin book and it's truly amazing what a great story it is that is so difficult the read because the writer is awful. Just full of cliches it reads like it was written by a 13 year old fanboy.
"It wasn't even a play or a heist on the art world - Once Upon a Time in Shaolin belonged there by right as a representative of every rapper, every poet, and every DJ who ever rocked the block. It was a work of art. Period."
Ugh.
Then I googled the guy and it all made sense.
