Went to New York bagel and bialy at the behest of goodson and wow. Amazing stuff. Got a nova with lettuce, tomato, and plain cream cheese on an onion bagel and it is fantastic. Been trying to find a good bagel spot. Love that place. And it is open 24/7 I actually went today too  |

I do have a friend visiting a weekend in January so in hindsight not sure if I can do this completely but still going to try it outside of that.

Tilapia from MCCB last night was fine. Nothing particularly fantastic about it. Went to New York bagel and bialy at the behest of goodson and wow. Amazing stuff. Fish was still whatever but the fish sauce mixed with the rice was fucking good. |

if this is the level of edgelord we've hit in 2020, I'm definitely deactivating my account before the new year I leave the edgelording to the professionals around here. Superhero movies exist as circuses for the masses so that films that actually say something about society can exist. It’s too bad that movie theatres will not exist anymore in 3 months though so we’re gonna need more of these movies to bring them to bring them back what in the world |

Ok gonna pass on that then lol. RPM fucks. Ricotta was great. Bucatini was ok and definitely the low point. It was good but nothing really elevated it. The spicy crab was so good though. Perfect amount of spice. Thought that was going to be the highlight until I got the next dish. The short rib pappardelle. Which is funny because I didn't think the short rib worked too well and made it a super heavy dish, without it and just a more simple sauce it'd be great. But even with that it was amazing. Big fan.
Also the heated lamp by my table was barely on and I was freezing. Told them serve and looks like the propane was basically out so they changed it and much better. Glad I said something.
The table across from me Facetimed grandma and grandpa the whole time which at first was annoying but it was Christmas so it was fine. Then they told me that they ordered the same meal they are having for the grandparents who are just a few blocks away but weren't going out because of COVID. I thought that was really thoughtful/cute.

Got Galit last night. Menu seems limited based on what I've seen but the hummus was some of the best food I've had since being here. Got the schwarma too but did not realize until I had finished my hummus that there was no more pita so that was tragic. Only two pieces for the hummus and schwarma so figured something was forgotten. It was also cold. Still good but disappointing.

Hi friends. Since I am solo for the holiday and I have reservations at RPM Xmas Eve I thought I'd go down early and do some sort of walking tour of the city. Looks like WTTW has an architecture walking tour but I have no idea if it'll be good or not. Anyone know of any reputable companies/organizations that would have an app where I could do a walking tour of the loop? History, architecture, whatever.

I got a bunch of all clad copper core pots from my last jobs rewards system on my way out the door. I made carbonara last night with them and I have no idea why but my apartment smells so bad. None of the ingredients were expired and I'm almost certain it's something that burned off the pot. Help that just happens when you make Italian food. |

I just got all the trophies for it. Getting the 100x combo trophy was a doozy but we got through. Still have four benchmarks that I still need to get to level III before I have 100% it. Venom strikes, air Yanks, 30x combo, and 50x combo ones are all that are left.

Yeah I actually just went through it again on New Game +. Only like five hours to get through the story of you skip cutscenes and do strictly story missions. Alright think I'm gonna grab this then, how long was your first playthrough? Assuming 10-12 watching cutscenes and exploring around some side missions Total I have 34 so about 28-29 hours to do main+cutscenes+every side mission and medal |

I got takeout from Alinea today. Pan friend chicken with scallop potatoes and cheesecake. Pretty incredible stuff. Not bad at all for $50 including fees. Had to heat it up at home but they give you everything, even the oil to pan fry the chicken. Since I heated it up I think that means I am now qualified to work in a Michelin three star restaurant.

Woke up at 7 on my couch. Went to bed. Woke up at 11. Showered and got ready and decided to checkout Wormhole. Got a Koppa Troops which has peanut butter mousse and chocolate syrup in it. It was fine but as someone who just gets coffee like 95% of the time wasn't my thing. But it was somewhat nice out so I decided to just go for a walk with no particular destination. Went east down Milwaukee and got on the 606 which I haven't been on yet. Went east on that until I hit Walsh Park. Checked out St. Mary's and walked back. Listened to the new Avalanches and it ended when I was about 20 steps from my front door. Fun morning, reminded me of being back in Europe and just walking around and finding cool stuff. if you walk to the east end of the 606 and keep heading east to Cortland and over the bridge you can see my favorite view of the Chicago skyline (well, it used to be with the factories, now its kind of desolate but still very pretty) Damn was so close. I actually didn't go into St. Mary's so I have another reason to go back. |

Yeah so anyone who really cares about this being a dumb cheap story movie is ugh. At this point the story is shit and the only reason anyone should be watching is to see badass Star Wars stuff. So with no expectations going in except for seeing badass Star Wars stuff I absolutely loved it. Not to mention the fact that we've never really seen Luke fight as a Jedi like that before. Anyone else happier to see R2 than Luke? And where does the show go from here? Is that a season or series finale? |
