What were people getting from that human claw thing? The guy running it was really pressing hard for me to do it, but I wasn't about to have my fat ass hanging from some straps for all the perry's kids entertainment, lol.

Human claw had one day VIP passes, GA + upgrades, t shirts, food credits, and other similar things in it. Apparently some people won 4 day passes for next year for dancing at the little dome next to it but I think that was from a different sponsor.

When I saw Paul back in the day, he played "You Can Call Me Al" twice. #themoreyouknow i got to see starship open and close the show with "we built this city" in '85. yay me :–( |

aliotta haynes and jeremiah (well at least two of the three were present) opened and closed with lake shore drive at taste of lincoln ave back in the day.

I think my favorite non-musical happening was coming across Chris Chelios, Theo Epstein, and Charlie Jones (of C3) at the corner of Columbus and Jackson. They were just hanging out and nobody bothered them. A handful of people realized who they were and did some hilarious neck snappin' double takes. This was followed quickly by Perry and Etty driving through in a golf cart and nearly running people over.

I wonder what the spending differential is between people under 18 and over it? I feel like Lolla would take a hit on ticket sales, but I am curious about if there's a point where it becomes an actual advantage for them. |
