i mentioned in the star wars thread i was contemplating spending a day at Disneyland to check that out since I'll be in LA for work.
if im only doing a day is there any reason to do the park hopper? California Adventure just doesn't really look worth it to me? none of the rides seem interesting except the Guardians ride, and i almost dont want to do that in protest of them ever removing Twilight Zone themed things

Also worth getting the Max Pass.

Sounds like there may be some official Rise Of The Resistance news today. Current rumor is Orlando opening by Christmas and Spring 2020 for Disneyland.

Kinda bummed it won't be open for my October trip, but on the plus side it will probably mean less crowds. Plus I want to do Orlando sometime after Tron opens, so I can do ROTR then as well.

That makes me super happy. We have a tentative February WDW trip planned
Isn't the ride supposed to be like 28 minutes long or something? I'm a little worried that'll lead to insane wait times but eh

Casting my vote for Dragster or Millennium This is the correct answer. I mean anything at Cedar Point is really. The Gatekeeper is amazing.

I'm a little worried that'll lead to insane wait times but eh 20+ minute experience, but the actual ride itself is supposedly only 4 mins long. I am less worried about the ride length and more worried about the mechanics of the experience...supposedly there's multiple spaces where you get out of the ride vehicle and move through sections on foot. How in the hell are they going to regulate the time it takes guests to move themselves? Gon' be a shitshow I think. The writer of the blog I was reading was excited about the projected 6+ hour wait times because it would only make the experience "feel more worth it" lololol

Queuing line -> transport shuttle (Mission:Space) -> walking to cell block (Pre-show element) -> queuing line to prison transport -> actual ride -> ride vehicle goes into another transport shuttle (Mission:Space) -> gift shop.

The on foot thing will definitely be a shit show if that's really part of it. That could get things really backed up. Def want to ride this but if it actually had 6+ hour wait times I might avoid it. I have some hopes though, that Smugglers Run ride at Disneyland has been hovering around 50 minutes for the most part when I expected that to be ridiculous. But that may be partly due to the crowd control stuff.
Part of why I want to go in February is I'm imagining that might be the best time to go for shorter wait times. I'm impatient and hate waiting in line.

Valravn rips and Millennium Force is still one of the all time greats.

...but Smugglers Run isn't touted as an E-Ticket attraction. The ride replay-ability is limited if you don't like video games.

Disneyland is also experiencing record-lows in attendance still, right? Disney initially enforced blackouts for Annual Passholders (aka the locals) and CMs and now most of those have been lifted.

I signed up for the Passhole preview for Galaxy's Edge yesterday before slots were 100% booked. I'm looking forward to seeing it before it officially opens on 8/29!

Millennium Force is amazing.
The anticipation in line for Kingda Ka might be better than the ride itself, especially when you're watching cars that don't quite get enough speed to make it over the top and then they get stuck or even go backwards a bit.

so if im reading right they announced like no details other than "this is coming" and it'd create a lot of jobs? That's really lame.
Not a big deal if this was the initial announcement but they had an announcement for this announcement

Did they announce a target date? My kid would probably lose his mind over a HTTYD land, but maybe not so much in 5-6 years.
