Magic Kingdom has always been my favorite but my favorite thing I did on my last trip was going around the world thing with my friend and trying one drink and one food item from each place and ranking each of them (we we're splitting each thing so we didn't die of being overstuffed) so idk maybe Epcot is my favorite now You need to go during food and wine. It’s all the amazing food/drinks but small portions so you can try it all. Big fan. Yes, Food and Wine is the best time to go.

My parents don’t care much for rollercoasters so we didn’t really go on that kind of trip growing up, least of all a 7 hour drive away. My wife had an extremely bad experience there in high school and she has no desire to return, so it has not been an adult priority either.
Irt cedar point

My next trip might be in February to see the Star Wars stuff and because my gf wants to go then (plus going when lines are probably at their smallest sounds wonderful) and thatll probably be my last trip for quite a while, because 3 times in 4 years seems like too much already

Epcot is the best.
Cedar Point is great if you like coasters/nausea/concussions/spiders.

I always try to do something different each trip to keep things fresh.

If I remember right, February gets a lot of the South American tourists and can be kind of busy. Despite Food and Wine being in October, that always seemed like the least chaotic time to go.

Am I correct in my assessment that February would probably be the best time for the lowest crowds and shortest lines? February is an alright time to go. I think a lot of folks caught on so it's kind of crowded now with cheerleading competitions and Brazilian tour groups. You can now do reservations for the GE experiences, including the Cantina. I would make a reservation if you know you want to see GE and want a guaranteed spot without waiting in a long line to get in.

I have only been to six flags and Disney world and would have said tower of terror until I went on Flight of Passage now that I have been to a theme park since I was 11 years old I will say that Tower of Terror is 7x better than Flight of Passage which is fine.

Went to Disney/Universal for the first time since I was a little kid. Got to do everything mostly free and for the most part all of the parks other than magic kingdom were completely empty so waited in almost no lines.
Disney Hollywood Studios:
Tower of Terror is still the best ride at probably any of the parks and im glad its not now a GotG thing because even tho its technically IP it doesn't feel like it. They gotta update rock n roller coaster so bad. Make it the imagine dragons coaster or something its very depressing. Still fun tho. Got the Jar Jar version of Star Tours which rules The Indiana Jones stunt show is still cool altho the framing is a bit boring. Toy Story Land is pretty cool, and the Toy Story Mania ride is awesome. Felt like some thought was put into it. Fantasia Live or whatever was a bit weird. How is is still Pocahautus? Still feels epic in a Disney way which is good. The Star Wars fireworks show is pretty goofy. The crowd was silent the entire time except for Darth Vader and there was a part where they project the cast of Solo and I've never heard a crowd get even silenter than silent.
Star Wars Land: Galaxy's Edge feels very nothing. Compared to Avatarland or Harry Potter world it feels really chintzy and thrown together last minute. No surprise its a total flop. Millenium Falcon ride is like a mediocre Dave N Busters ride. Kind of insane that's what they came up with. Saw Kylo Ren and Rey within 20 minutes of entering the park and than almost no other interesting character. The pork wrap was real good however. The cantina drinks were surprisingly good and were a nice 9 am treat before waiting in line for the one shitty ride. Wish they did more "tricks" but still a nice treat.
Epcot: Not sure how Bosma or anybody gets drunk at Epcot Food and Wine but I wish them well on their quest to drink the same 3 oz. $9 frozen margarita dyed a different color for every country. I did have a very good lamb chop but otherwise it feels very not for somebody who lives in a city that has thai food. I guess the rides are all technically bad here but it kind of has a nice vibe. Go eat some Charcuterie out of a cone and than pretend you are going to space. Kind of depressing that they keep bringing up the future as it is clearly a park that has been given up on decades ago. The presentation about the future of Epcot looked quite cool tho so if we are all still around in 10 years i guess that is something to look forward to. I like Soarin' alot tho its basically just the Avatar ride but without a long line and it doesnt pretend it is breathing on your legs.
Animal Kingdom:
I have no emotional connection to Avatar but Avatarland rules. Actually feels fully realized and immersive in a way that makes Star Wars land look like a planet hollywood. The ride is a little disappointing after doing Soarin but its still fun. The two speciality beers were actually quite good and the Rum smoothie cocktail was the best disney alcoholic drink I had by far. The meat bowl with the (rare???) beef and noodles and veggies and boba was actually good for non theme park food. Yeti ride rules, i like the bugs life movie, the safari is cool even if i had to take a nap on it, the zoo elements are as good as a nice zoo. Dinosaur is fun. Lots of fun characters roaming around. Probably the best of the disney parks in its current state.
Magic Kingdom:
Splash Mountain prob 2nd best Disney ride. Space Mountain still rules despite not going very fast. Fast pass system worked quite good. Jungle Cruise still good fun. Still feels immersive despite the dirth of new attractions. Country Bear Jamboree is the best show at disney and its an absolute crime that there is no merch at all. Dole Whip out of control delicious. Only park that had waits all weekend, got a giant migraine with all the screaming and crying and arguing families.
Universal Studios: Harry Potter world is extremely cool despite truly not caring about it. Three Broomsticks food was also pretty good too! The Hagrid ride rules and our wait time was only about an hour. Was cool to be on a new ride that clearly had some TLC in its creation. I love Tower of Terror but its competion for best rides at any of the arks. Hulk, Soundtrack Roller Coaster Ride thing, Mummy, Spiderman, Kong, Transformers, riptide falls, all very fun. Fast and Furious: Supercharged is one of the most fascinatingly badly made things I've ever seen.5 stars. The Doctor Doom ride is truly terrible. It shoots you up but not down? What the fuck? The Kathy ice cream stand was closed ack Hollywood Horror Nights is so much fun and I definitely would like to go back at some point but I truly don't know why or when I would. All of the houses are extremely well done and there are bars every 200 feet which make the lines pretty bearable. The "Us" and "Universal Monsters" houses were especially cool.

I mostly drank full beers at Epcot that my in-laws were paying for, which would explain why it isn't too hard to get good and drunk during food and wine. Highly recommend that experience. Glad to hear you had a good time at the parks even if I disagree with a few of your takes and am still looking forward to the Star Wars experience in the future.

What you get from Galaxy’s Edge is what you put into it. Having visited it 8 times, there's a ton of stuff to do. Rango has valid criticisms but keep in mind GE is only several months old while Harry Potter World is almost a decade old.

Here's a pretty sweet Charli XCX video to promote the theme park (I posted this in the travel thread on accident at first)
