So what's an Orbital Live Festival set like? I've seen them twice before so I assume it's similar

Cancelled my hotel for this. Tix still available. Hoping Blur is not on at a stupid hour on the webcast

Yeah the more I look at it the more it looks like every festival I've ever said "that's good but I wouldn't travel for it"

I went over to the Coachella website to check that out. Not that I was ever going, but all I could see was $599 before fees, and was like "Yikes!" Glad I'm not going anyway. But, it would still be nice to see Blur some time in my life. I really liked their new album.

Apparently Blur sent out a newsletter stating these will be their only U.S. shows.

Ya that Saturday is absolutely incredible now.
VW - Blur - Jungle - No Doubt - Gesaffelstein - Tyler

Saturday would be less than incredible for me - if I were going - because Blur conflicts with both Oneohtrix Point Never and bar italia.

Kinda weird to be sitting this out but even weirder that the schedule is out at 1pm instead of 1am like it has been the last few years. Because I need a distraction and have a problem:
late night drive home- the japanese house- the beths- chappelle roan -skepta -end of Brittney Howard -black country new road -Peso Pluma -Justice -lana
-militarie gun -young fathers -the aquabats -vampire weekend -vampire weekend -i guess the last dinner party -Sublime -the most cancelled non supreme court justice american woman -Blue -No Doubt -Gessaflstein -Orbital -Tyler or Blessed Madonna depending on vibes
-DJ Seinfeld -Mdou Moctar -feeble little horse -hermanos guiterrez/renee rap -whatever this jamie xx/floating points/daphni thing is -khruagbin -mandy, indiana -j balvin -boy harsher -lil yachty -bicep
This looks a lot more fun typed out than when I posted in the other thread a bit ago

Blur vs Jon Batiste is maybe the worst conflict for me. Also not too pleased with L'Imperatice vs Chappell Roan. As long as I make it to/through the Blur show in Pomona without a hitch the rest of the weekend is just a bonus.

Has to be the earliest the set times have come. In the most recent years I've gone they've either dropped when I'm on the plane or already in California. That Saturday schedule would be perfect for me. Couchella will be great that night.

That Sunday though is legit one of the worst days ever at a multigenre festival though

That Sunday though is legit one of the worst days ever at a multigenre festival though It would look better if No Doubt had stayed on there but letting the dads have the mainstage for 4 hours on Saturday is a good call

feeble little horse>Jockstrap>Quasar stage>Mandy>Boy Harsher>Bicep is a pretty fun day despite having no heavy hitters. Blur>No Doubt would be tight but the rest is so boring.

Yo I never realized how short most set-times were at Coachella. There's like 3-4 acts each day that actually get a full hour? (aside from the final acts at each stage, idk how long those go for). Pretty much everyone getting like 40-50 minutes? I know they're cramming a TON of acts onto here, but that still strikes me as wild.

And this some of the stages are starting later and the opening acts were not evev on the lineup poster. This leads to unnecessary conflicts. Coachella has definitely pivoted to charge more for less model.
